IrishPropertyGuide.ie is operated by Home Energy Rating Solutions (trading as Homerating.ie), Blackrock, Co. Dublin. We are the data controller for any personal data collected through this site.

What Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it:

  • Newsletter sign-up: Your email address, submitted via our forms to Formspree (form processing) and Kit (email delivery)
  • Product purchases: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. Stripe provides us with your name, email, and purchase details
  • Contact forms: Your name, email, and message content, processed via Formspree

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics tracking.

How We Use Your Data

  • To deliver digital products you have purchased
  • To send our newsletter (if you subscribed)
  • To respond to enquiries submitted via contact forms

Third-Party Services

  • Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing, governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy
  • Formspree (formspree.io) — form submission handling
  • Kit (kit.com) — email newsletter delivery
  • Netlify (netlify.com) — website hosting

No data is sold to third parties. No data is shared with advertisers.

Legal Basis

We process your data based on:

  • Consent: When you sign up for our newsletter or submit a form
  • Contract: When you purchase a product, processing is necessary to fulfil your order
  • Legitimate interest: To operate and improve the website

Data Retention

  • Newsletter subscribers: retained until you unsubscribe
  • Purchase records: retained for 6 years (Irish tax requirements)
  • Form submissions: retained for 12 months, then deleted
